Tuesday morning update

Just a quick update....it looks like Andy will get discharged later today from the hospital. He was told it would not be until Wednesday morning, but those of you who know Andy know that is just unacceptable. So after requesting the oncologist to speed up the delivery of his rescue drug (which normally takes 12 hours) it appears our boy will get to come home tonight! The next week Andy's count will be very low so he will have to take neupogen to boost his cell counts every day. We will recheck his  counts this Friday and next Monday. Andy is hoping to back to his regular shenanigans; however, he will have to get creative when it comes to his love of Golf. Andy is not able to be outdoors for extended periods of time due to his risk for mold spores, and golf is of course played outdoors. We are on the hunt for a nice indoor driving range that will suffice. Gotta get creative in times like these.

On a sweeter note, I must say that Andy has not lost that selfless nature he has about him. I spent the night at the hospital again with him and woke up to him this morning getting ready to head downstairs to get us both coffee. He came back up  with my usual Starbucks order to a tee. And he thinks he is the lucky one!!!!

Cheers,
Alex
